This fuzz is our version of the legendary octave up pedal used by Jimi Hendrix to great effect on songs like “Purple Haze.” We’ve added a super useful switch that turns the octave off and on. With the octave on, notes played above the 12th fret (especially on the neck pickup) will have a ring modulated-like octave up coming through. Double stops and notes bent against each other have a wonderfully sick freak out quality to them. With the switch off, you get a fat fuzz that can morph from light to aggressive and is perfect for copping that “Band of Gypsys” tone at medium fuzz settings. Plus it cleans up well when set this way!
